COLLABORATIVE GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. has established valued interactions and collaborations with many groups in the community. We believe our Interaction Program to be a valuable community experience. Many inner city children have never seen a horse or other farm animals in a rural ranch setting. To be able to bring this beneficial experience to so many in the community is one of our many accomplishments and an ongoing goal of our organization.
Due to the recent downturn in the economy, many people in our community have lost their cars, jobs, and/or homes. Like many organizations in the nation, our non-profit rescue has come under hard times financially as donations have all but dried up in many sectors. The multitude of groups we work with and the interactions they enjoy and benefit from are in jeopardy as we are finding it difficult to continue without additional funds. We receive no funding from any of the groups we interact with as we depend solely on the generosity of various foundations, trusts, grants, and the community at large. We don’t feel that because of lack of funds, any child or group should be denied the experience and the positive benefits of our program. Our Sponsor-A-Horse Program has also been severely impacted due to financial hardships of the families in the community and many no longer have the funds they once had to allocate to the charities of their choice.
Below is a list of some of the groups F.R.I.E.N.D.S. works with.
