The process to obtain these much needed vaccines consisted of filling out an application which had to be submitted along with a Veterinary Checklist for the Rescue and or the Retirement Facilitiy that had to be filled out by a licensed Veterinarian. The vaccines available were PreveNile- West Nile, EquiRab- Rabies and the Prestige V- five way that contained the Flu Strains, EHV-1, EHV-4, EEE, WEE and Tetanus. We were one of the very lucky and very appreciative organizations chosen to receive enough vaccinations to do half of our herd. We are so very grateful for all their efforts and assistance. We would also like to thank Dr. J.W. Hilton for helping us by filling out the extensive paperwork to make us eligible as a recipient. With the downward spiraling economy these donated vaccinations saved us a lot of money. Vaccination can be extremely costly for 50 horses and we simply didn't have the money to do it. Because of their generosity, the entire herd did get vaccinated in October and are all safe from deadly diseases until October 2010. Thank you so much for helping us to keep the horses safe! | Return Home | HORSES to SPONSOR | RECENT RESCUES | DONATIONS | F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
